Coleman's personal correspondence, a personal memoir, and a few letters written by her and on her behalf in an attempt to secure a pension from the state of Texas. The memoir and letters describe her childhood in England, move to Texas with her parents, flight to Louisiana during the Texas Revolution, and subsequent life in Louisiana and Texas.
